Orignally VALROGH is a band from Mexico City that was formed in June 2010 after the separation of the group TZOMPANTLI.

 

TZOMPANTLI previously called INCEST, was a band of Power, Progressive, Thrash and prehispanic folklore. The band released the album „Aztec Blade“. Previously under the name of INCEST, the band recorded two demos songs: “The call of the land” and “El rostro del Sol”.

 

Thus, after playing together since 1992 in the metal scene in Mexico, David Chimalli, Victor Trujillo and Rene Naranjo, decided to change their characteristic musical style by leaving out the fusion of pre-Hispanic instruments that had been playing and forming VALROGH: a band that has maintained the Heavy Metal and the Thrash like the base of its style.

 

Later in November 2013, Rene Naranjo decided to leave the band. Ozzy Lovecraft, an old friend of VALROGH and with a very important musical career in the scene of Mexico playing in bands like “CAMPO Y CORTEZA, BRANDA, AGENT ZERO, HEAVY BLAZE Y ARKHAM, joined the band as the new bass player.

 

The meaning of VALROGH:

The origin of the name of the band is BALROG, a demon created in the stories of J. R. R. Tolkien, but its members decided to change the spelling in order to give it a personal touch more appropriate to their style of music and taste.

 

VALROGH preserves an updated, heavy, aggressive and rhythmic sound, but also incorporates new ideas and concepts, such as fantasy literature in its lyrics, not forgetting the pre-Hispanic theme that has always characterized the band and above all, making evident its passion for the music, which stands out in each presentation.

 

VALROGH is currently promoting its first CD titled "BLOOD IN YOUR HANDS" which has 9 tracks.

The CD is recorded and produced by the band at CHIMALLI studios.

 

This CD was presented on October 3, 2015 in the Bolívar Room.
Subsequently it was presented in several bars of the city of Mexico, states of the Republic and its first participation in Guatemala City in July 2016

In June of 2016 VALROGH was winner in the Kalani awards like best Band of the genre THRASH METAL.

VALROGH, es una banda originaria de la Ciudad de México, formada en junio del 2010 tras la separación de la agrupación TZOMPANTLI.

 

TZOMPANTLI anteriormente llamada INCEST, fue una banda de Power, Progresivo, Thrash y folclor prehispánico, que en su trayectoria lanzó el disco titulado “Aztec Blade” y previamente bajo el nombre de INCEST, grabó y proyectó dos demos llamados “The call of the land” y “El rostro del Sol”.

 

Es así, que tras una trayectoria tocando juntos desde el 1992  en la escena metalera en México, David Chimalli, Víctor Trujillo y Rene Naranjo, deciden dar un giro a su estilo musical característico, dejando la fusión de instrumentos prehispánicos que habían estado tocando y formando VALROGH, una banda que ha mantenido el Heavy Metal y el Thrash como base de su estilo.

 

Posteriormente en noviembre del 2013, René Naranjo decide dejar la banda, incorporándose a la agrupación Ozzy Lovecraft en el bajo, un viejo amigo de VALROGH, con una trayectoria muy importante en la escena en México con bandas como: “CAMPO Y CORTEZA, BRANDA, AGENT ZERO, HEAVY BLAZE Y ARKHAM.

 

Significado de VALROGH:

El origen del nombre de la banda es BALROG, un demonio creado en las historias de J. R. R. Tolkien, pero sus integrantes deciden cambiar la forma escribirlo para darle un toque personal más adecuado a su estilo de música y gusto.

VALROGH conserva un sonido actualizado, pesado, agresivo y rítmico, pero también incorpora nuevas ideas y conceptos, como la literatura de fantasía en sus letras, sin olvidar la temática prehispánica que siempre ha caracterizado a la banda y sobre todo, haciendo evidente su pasión por la música, que resalta en cada presentación.

Actualmente VALROGH está promocionando su primer CD titulado  “BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS”  El cual cuenta con 9 temas.

El CD es grabado y producido por la banda en los estudios CHIMALLI.

 

Este CD fue presentado el 3 de octubre del 2015 en el salón Bolívar.

Posteriormente se presentó  en varios Bares de la ciudad de México, estados de la República y  su primera participación en la Ciudad de Guatemala en Julio del 2016.

En Junio del 2016   VALROGH fue ganadora en los premios Kalani como mejor Banda del género

THRASH METAL.
