DAVID CHIMALLI
BIOGRAPHY
Born in Mexico City in 1974, from the age of 11 began his path in music, learning to play the requinto with music of boleros and instrumental acoustic guitar. He also had activity with groups of choirs, taking guitar lessons with personal teachers and on their own. In 1991 he formed his first band called MORBUS, Death Metal band, which lasted a year. After that he played in different sides with groups of choirs, until 1992 joined INCEST, Thrash Metal band with which began the road for what is now VALROGH and beginning his path as a composer.
INCEST released two demos titled "The call of de land and El rostro del sol" It was performed throughout Mexico City and in some places in the province. In 1998 he began to insert his pre-Hispanic lyric in his lyrics, which led them to rename TZOMPANTLI (altar of skulls in Nahuatl), also changing much of their musical style, incorporating folklore and various genres of Metal. In 2005,
TZOMPANTLI released their only album entitled "Aztec Blade," which was recorded, designed and composed almost entirely by David Chimalli. TZOMPANTLI was presented throughout Mexico City and several states of the Mexican Republic as Guadalajara, Aguas Calientes, Zacatecas, Tlaxcala, Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Xalapa.
In the year 2010 TZOMPANTLI comes to an end, which is the beginning to the road of VALROGH and now with the function of guitar and voice.
In the year 2013 had its participation in a tribute band to the Band Slayer, band of which it has very marked its influences.
In 2016 he also began his project as a solo musician entitled DAVID CHIMALLI, which is a project whose only ideal is to compose and record music from various genres of metal, which is only study work.
BIOGRAFÍA
Nació en la Ciudad de México en el año 1974, desde los 11 años inició su camino en la música, aprendiendo a tocar el requinto con música de boleros y guitarra acústica instrumental. También tuvo actividad con grupos de coros, tomando clases de guitarra con maestros personales y por cuenta propia. En 1991 forma su primer banda llamada MORBUS, banda de Death Metal, la cual duró un año. Después estuvo tocando en diversos lados con grupos de coros, hasta que en año de 1992 se unió a INCEST, banda de Thrash Metal con la cual comenzaba el camino para lo que hoy es VALROGH e iniciando su camino como compositor.
INCEST sacó dos demos titulados “The call of the land y el rostro del sol.” Se presentó en toda la Ciudad de México y en algunos lugares de provincia. En el año 1998 comenzó a meter su lírica prehispánica en sus letras, lo cual los llevó a cambiar de nombre a TZOMPANTLI (altar de cráneos en Náhuatl), cambiando también gran parte de su estilo musical, incorporando el folclor y diversos géneros del Metal.
TZOMPANTLI en el año 2005 sacó su único disco titulado “Aztec Blade” el cual fue grabado, diseñado y compuesto casi en su totalidad en cuestión musical por David Chimalli. TZOMPANTLI se presentó en toda la ciudad de México y varios estados de la República Mexicana como Guadalajara, Aguas Calientes, Zacatecas, Tlaxcala, Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Xalapa.
En el año 2010 TZOMPANTLI llega a su fin, el cual es el inicio al camino de VALROGH y ahora incursiona con la función de guitarra y voz.
En el año 2013 tuvo su participación en una banda tributo a la Banda Slayer, banda de la cual tiene muy marcada sus influencias.
En el año 2016 también inicia su proyecto como músico solista titulado DAVID CHIMALLI, que es un proyecto que su único ideal es componer y grabar música de diversos géneros del Metal, el cual sólo es trabajo de estudio.
